ABOUT ME
Having worked my entire life in shipping, shipping is in my blood.
I started as a trainee at Maersk Line in Copenhagen, Denmark back in 1976, where I held many various roles primarily in operations, equipment management, and commercial – both in Denmark and abroad.
Given my broad experience and knowledge both in the operational and commercial fields, I was put in charge of Maersk’s IT-project calculating profitability/contribution margin for each container. Both the anticipated contribution at the quotation and booking stage, as well as the actual one after the transport had been completed.
This spurred my interest to work more with improving processes and bridging the gap between business requirements and IT coverage, like for the entire quote-to-cash process.
After 35 years of corporate life, I started kt-c.dk offering consultancy with container lines – and I am also associated with arl-shipping.com offering smart mobile apps for the shipping and transportation industries.
I have lived and worked in Denmark, Italy, Malaysia, USA – and travelled extensively globally.
